Fishing Season Update: July Fully Booked – Limited Availability Ahead
/The summer fishing season in Northern Norway is in full swing, and interest in stays at Ersfjordbotn Brygge has been exceptionally strong. July is now fully booked, while August and September are filling up quickly. A few select weeks are still available for guests planning a late-summer fishing trip above the Arctic Circle.
Located just outside Tromsø, Ersfjordbotn offers direct access to rich fishing grounds known for cod, halibut, pollock, and coalfish. The combination of sheltered fjords and open sea makes the area ideal for both experienced anglers and those new to sea fishing in Norway.
Guests staying with us enjoy comfortable apartments right by the water, with rental boats moored just steps away from the accommodation. This makes it easy to maximize time on the water—head out early, return with your catch, and relax back at the pier as the midnight sun (or early autumn light) sets over the fjord.
Late summer and early autumn are particularly popular among fishing guests. The sea remains productive, the days are calmer, and the atmosphere is quieter than peak midsummer—perfect conditions for a focused and authentic Northern Norway fishing experience.
If you are planning a fishing holiday near Tromsø in 2026, we recommend booking soon to secure one of the remaining available weeks in August or September.
